SEVERE HAIR LOSS, BURNING SCALP, STINGING & CONSTANT LOW GRADE FEVER...

by Aisha
(Eddystone, PA)

Hello - please help me, I'm in dire need of help!!! I was bit by something sometime in May 09 which caused me to be in ER twice in one day. I had a rash on my legs, breast & face. Months later I was diagnosed w/Lyme Disease!!! Had several treatments including IV rocephin, zithro, amoxicillin & doxycycline. Sadly I've been suffering from a SEVERE burning & stinging scalp w/SEVERE HAIR LOSS!!! I cant comb touch or wash my hair, almost a year going thru this. Everyday I have a low grade fever & no doc (seen over 25: ie endo, derm, I.D., neuro etc). No pain meds control my pain. I'm at the point I'm ready to end my life. Yet I have a 2yr old. Along w/the burning, stinging sensations, I also get chills in my scalp that travels down my face. I had 2 scalp biospies, spinal tap, lymph node biospy yet still no answer. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Chronic Burning Scalp/Face
by: Anonymous

dear aisha

I have never been diagnosed with lyme's disease but do have burning sensation on my face and scalp gradually worsening for the past twenty years.Burning sensation also travels down arms and back and the skin is red and sticky at times. I too question at times if life is worth living with this constant hell. I have been to countless dermatologists with no relief. We can not give up trying though for the sake of our children and families. Just wanted you to know someone out there understands how you feel. Don't give up. I have been keeping a food journal to identify foods that make my symptoms worse. These foods include dairy, nuts, grains, citrus fruit, berries, tomatos. I'm still working on this. Probably not a cure-all but definately helping.

still suffering
by: aisha

Sadly still no cure however no high fevers. I just don't fathom how I seen over 30 doctors & still no cure. My new symptoms are fingers turning white and blue, clogged ears & ringing, Dysethesia, stinging, throbbing sensations in scalp, chronic joint pain, chest pains, tingling and parathesia that runs from the top of my head on down especially if something sharp brush against my skin & of course hair loss. Feel like I died & reside in hell!!! No antibiotics have worked. I had a phone consult w/Dr. Daniel Dantini & he ordered blood work & I have antibodies of CMV, Ebstein Bare Virus etc. Yet he treats w/high doses of valtrex etc. He believe its not lyme yet what the hell is it. I've been reading up on ivig therapy. A new neurologist I'm seeing seems concerned. I gave all of my lab reports, mri's, list of all doctors, biopsies etc. & I was shocked that he went thru every piece of my paperwork. He was the one who asked me if I ever had ivig treatment & I told him I never heard of it. Yet when I left his office I researched & know I want to try it. Not sure if insurance will cover it. All I know I don't want to live like this anymore!!!!

thank you....hang in there.

i have been searching the internet for scalp pain and skin burning on my face when i came across your email to grandma. I want to thank you for writing it . I have been diagnosed with lyme yet i sometimes wonder if they are right. Now my kids are also getting symptoms and after reading that they diagnosed you with lyme and you have the same symptoms i am sure this is what is causing my skin and my hair to hurt. I also met a lady not long ago who said she had been diagnosed twice with lyme and did treatment and was better. i asked how she was now and she said her hair hurt to brush it. I think she still has lyme and i am sure you do too. What are the chances of three people with the same symptoms all with possible chronic lyme? I think lyme is impossible to beat after you have had it for a bit of time and only if it is caught early is it beatable. I am in canada where the doctors do not want to admit we have lyme nor do they believe in long term antibiotic treatment. I recently switched antibiotics and i am now on doxycline and i am wondering if this symptom did not appear on us both as we were on treatment with doxycycline. i have had it before but what happens is when a antibiotic starts to hit the lyme the symptoms you have had in the past will get worse depending on where the lyme is hiding..so i chalk this up to the doxy working and killing the lyme. i hope you hang in there and continue treatment...and thanks for the email to grandma because it has made me sure this is a lyme symptom so unknowingly you have helped someone else also living with this unbearable pain...

Spoke to a Natural Health Practitioner about You
by: Grandma

Hello Aisha,

I wrote you a private email yesterday but I'm not sure if you read it yet. I've been so concerned about you and went to see a Natural Health Practitioner to get advice about your health issues. She is a very popular herbalist in our area that I know and trust.

She suggested you buy some Nature Sunshine products, they are:

VS-C take 1/2 tsp. every 2 hours, you can mix it in water if you want - this will strengthen your immune system. You need this from taking all the antibiotics you've been taking.

Silver Shield - take 1 tsp. twice a day. This will kill any virus that is causing your health issues.

There is also a spray called - Pain Spray made by Little Miracles. Nature Sunshine don't sell this but you may be able to locate it online.

She feels you are dealing with a viral infection and you can ask any medical doctor, antibiotics won't touch a viral infection, in fact it will make it worse. Silver shield will kill a virus. Don't worry, it's completely safe and you won't turn blue, like the blue man that the news showed last year..:)

I will continue praying for you,

Grandma

Lyme Disease & Ticks
by: Grandma

Hello Aisha,

My heart just aches for you and the agony you are going through. I'm reaching out to you and offering you a very warm and gentle cyber hug.

I'm begging you to please stop thinking about ending your life, you will find the answers you're searching for just pray for the patience you need right now. The first thing I'd suggest is to start thinking about alternative ways to find what you are dealing with. I can see you've exhausted the medical field and they not only failed finding your physical problems they also failed your emotional needs. Don't ever let anyone tell you that this is all in your head, or nothing can be done for you.

Lyme Disease, I'm sure you know, comes from a tick. It can cause so many awful side effects, sometimes the medical profession, like antibiotics can help, yet sometimes they don't help at all. I'm wondering if they found the tick. I'd suggest you try soaking your scalp in olive oil. Olive oil will suffocate a tick. Olive oil is also wonderful for your hair, scalp and skin. Put the olive oil on your face and anywhere you're getting the itch and rash. Especially, if they found the area the tick entered your body.

I'd also search in your area for a Natural Health Practitioner. They can look into your eyes and see if you're dealing with parasites. The medical field don't usually test for parasites. You may need to go on a cleanse or some herbal or Chinese remedy. The only downside is, your medical insurance don't usually pay for this type of health care. But I'm sure once you find someone in your area with this kind of training they will find the answers you are looking for.

Please, please don't give up Aisha, your little one needs his/her mother. You will find one day this is all God's plan for you to grow and learn in a way you never would without going through what you are going through now. There is reason for all of this and one day it will all make sense.

I will pray for you,

Grandma
