Baby oils Vs olive oil.
by: Kevin Cox

Hello Kimberly! According to your question, you want to know the difference between olive oil and other baby oils. Actually the fact is, both oils are different. There are various baby oils of different brands are available in market and some of them contains chemicals which is harmful for your baby. Olive oil is completely better for your baby, also some other baby oils are there. Thank you.

Olive Oil vs Baby Oil
by: Beccie

Oh what a great question. I am genuinely into essential oils and formulas that can help people with different maladies. The answer is really quite important as Grandma suggests. However, there is another reason why not to use Baby Oil and that is that it does not go into the skin. It lays on the top. You could use it to shave your legs with, but, as far as skin care, you don't want to use it. Olive oil will actually go into the skin, so when I make up formulas with the EO"S I make sure to use an oil which in EO terms is the oil with which you use to blend the oils. This way the EO's go directly into the body for the help it has to offer rather than to just sit in a sludge of baby oil that has no benefit to the skin. Back in the way ole days of Cleopatra and such, olive oil was a luxury in which they used olive oil for their skin and hair. It is a wonderful product and there are several others that are just as good like jojoba, almond, cocoanut. Beccie

Skin & Oils
by: Grandma

Hi Kimberly,

I'm so glad you're enjoying visiting my website and some of the wisdom I've shared over the years.

Yes, there is a big difference in using baby oil or olive oil. Your skin absorbs everything you put on your body, down through layer after layer and into your cells. Our skin is a living breathing organ and what we put on it, it eats. We all put stuff on small areas of our skin that we would never eat but...when you talking about putting an oil all over your body on a daily basis wouldn't you want to put olive oil knowing you can eat this on a daily basis and it would actually be really good for you? Now think about eating baby oil everyday. That's always been the way I've looked at using oils on my body and when you really think about it, it does make sense. I realize it doesn't smell as nice but you can always add a few drops of essential oils.
