Herbal Brews for New Baby

I am due to give birth any day now and am just re-reading over material from Juliette de Bairacli Levy "Natures Children."

I am very keen on giving my baby herbal brews but she does not suggest which are best to give and for what reason. Lets say during the night just for a restful nights sleep for the baby?

Please could you help me or suggest a good book I could purchase. Any immediate help would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards

Emily

New Mother Jitters
by: Grandma

Hello Emily,

Goodness honey, your baby isn't even here yet and you are just so full of worry. Please calm down and enjoy this journey into motherhood.

I have never read or heard of this book "Natures Child". But you really can't raise a new baby or be prepared for all the trials and errors you're going to face as a new mother. At this time you haven't even been introduced to your child. So much depends on its personalty, how you feed it and nurture it. Are you planning on breast feeding? I hope so, it's the most natural and healthest way to feed and nurture your baby.

If you do run into problems as far as sleeping or stomach cramps you can find some really good herbal tea recipes on my website, like lemon-balm tea or catnip.

Just take things a day at a time with your new baby and most of all, relax, be patient and just love that new baby with all your heart. Everything else will just fall into place.

Looking foreward to hearing from you once your new baby arrives,

Grandma
