Help and Info on the Honey VinegarTonic

by leda young
(Marshfield,Mo)

I started using the water, vinegar and honey drink and I have to say I feel wonderful and have energy I never had before and I had a acne problem thats clearing up now. My only problem is that I'm getting a yeast infection and I think it's the drink mix cause I never ever get them. What can I do? I don't want ot stop taking it and I'm hoping it will stop after my body adjust to the drink mix. What do you think?

Relieved
by: Grandma

Hello again Leda,

I can't tell you what a relief it was for me to read that you've already had the necessary tests. Yes, I have to agree with you now that you may just be going through a flush. It's great to know that the Vinegar Tonic is helping you so much, but I'd still fast from it for a few days and try to get the yeast problem under control.

Thanks for writing back and letting me know about the tests, sometimes a yeast infection can be a sign of very serious problems.

thanks for all the advice. Yea , I thought the same thing about the low energy and acne and have went to my doctor and had a check ups and blood work and he tells me there nothing wrong and all my test come back fine. He said diet and excerise which I do already . I'll lay offthe drink for a few days and try the baths and see what happens . I was wondering after reading what you wrote that maybe it is part of the flushing out my system thing.

Yeast Infections and Immune System
by: Grandma

Hello Leda,

I don't believe the Apple Cider Vinegar & Honey Tonic caused the yeast infection but I do believe that whatever was causing your fatigue and skin eruptions was symptoms of an underlying problem you may be dealing with. So my first advice is to get to your family doctor and get some tests done to make sure you're not dealing with anything serious. I think the tonic was trying to flush your system and building your immune system, this is why you started feeling so good. But, almost every adult carries the yeastlike fungus, Candida. And sometimes it takes something like fermented foods to kick it up. So I'd advice you to stop taking the tonic for a few days and eat some yogurt and go on a diet with less sugar and don't eat any foods with yeast in it, like starches, bread, pasta, cheese. Stay away from all alcohol and fermented foods, like saurkraut, kombucha tea and vinegar.

I'd also suggest you take a bath with 1-2 cups of vinegar and 1 cup of sea salt to a half bath tub full of warm water. The vinegar will help support a normal acidic balance while the salt disinfects. Stay in the bath at least 10 minutes each day.

After a few days, see how you feel, again, I'd suggest you see your doctor just to be on the safe side as far as an underlying health issue before staring back on the tonic.
