Is there really anything out there safe to help you to lose weight with out extreme dieting and major exercising? Not that I want to be lazy, it's just hard to get around with the weight on and I don't feel energized enough to persue it. I'm always tired once I get home from work, cook, clean, help the kids.

Spirulina and Weight Control

Hello Again Rhonda,

I rarely post twice when I answer someone but I just hate when someone recommends something and don't tell me why and that's how I felt when I recommended you try using Spirulina.

Hi Rhonda,

I'm sure you noticed before writing to me that I have nothing on my website about dieting and that's because I don't believe in diets. And as far as exercise, of course I believe we should all exercise but naturally, not getting up and down off the floor with crunches.

The biggest problems we all have as mothers is that we knock ourselves out trying to take care of everybody, feed them, clean up after them and nurture them, but who is nurturing us? Even when we decide to eat healthy we feel guilty, after all shouldn't we share that healthy food with our kids? Even when we decide to take a little time for ourselves and go for a long walk, we feel guilty, after all we could have brought the kids along or use that little energy we found to get some cleaning done. This is why we get into a rut and find ourselves gaining weight.

The real secret to maintaining a healthy weight and exercise regularly is for us mothers and grandmothers to get a little bit greedy.

First, never fall for those diet fads, eat what you want and try your best to eat healthy foods but whatever you normally eat, just eat half. Never, ever eat or drink something with artificial sweetener in it. Always eat real food!

Find time everyday for just you, Rhonda. Don't roll your eyes :), it can be done. Even just walking to and from your car you can exercise, just pick up your step and walk a little faster. You'd be surprised how much better it makes you feel. When you go grocery shopping, push the cart a little faster, make a game out of everything you do. And most of all, pamper yourself, you do deserve it.

Try to get out in the sun at least 15 minutes a day and expose your face and arms to the sun, this will give you some vitamin D. Get some vitamin B-12 and vitamin C, you really do need these vitamins. You'll notice your energy level increasing once you take these for a week or two. I'd also suggest you take an herb called, Spirulina, I take it everyday and it's a wonderful herb. I don't have room here to write about it or all I'd like to say here.
