Vinegar for Sunburn

by MaryAnn
(Raised in the South)

When I was little, my mom used to swab vinegar on my sun-burned skin. I remember it burning (and smelling) like crazy! I think it actually took the sting away after that initial application. BOY, did my brother and I hate this home remedy!!

Vingar Tips & Sunburn
by: Grandma

Hello MaryAnn,

Apple Cider Vinegar was a popular remedy for sunburn back when I was a kid too. It really did help with the sting and give relief. I agree I wasn't too crazy about the smell either but it does evaporate pretty fast.

Thanks for the tip,

Granmda
