Vinegar for Bug Bites

by Mary
(Ohio)

I drink a shot glass full of ACV about 30 minutes before going outside where I know there will be mosquitos or other biting bugs. I can stay out as long as I want with no bites. This is much better than spraying yourself with chemicals. As a double bonus, it helps with outdoor allergies also.

Shot of Vinegar
by: Grandma

Hi Mary,

What a great Apple Cider Vinegar tip! I have to admit the thought of taking a shot of apple cider vinegar makes me shiver :), but it does sure beat the alternative, bug spray. It amazes me that some people just don't have a clue what they are putting on their skin and how it always gets absorbed into their bloodstream.

I did know that putting a few drops of apple cider vinegar into your pets water will help keep the fleas off of them. I never thought about it actually helping keep mosquitoes off of people.

Thank you so much Mary for your tip, it really gave me a lot of food for thought,

Grandma
