Uncontrolable itching!!!
by: Beccie

Dear Deb,

I am sorry and very empathetic to your itching ordeal. It makes you feel like you are going to go crazy, and you can't find the darn spot that itches, to find relief.

I have two things that I would like to offer you as options...

***First, are you on ANY pills or medications that you take regularly? You may be taking too much. That would be my first concern. I had this happen and luckily found out before the itching drove me nuts. Of course they give you something to stop the itching and You know that it is just a bandaid because now you are just taking another pill and not getting rid of the problem. But, what I found, was my pain meds were too high a dose and after I cut them back it took the itching away. Actually that happens with any med that I take too much of, my body tells me that it is too much. So don't ever disregard what your body is telling you.

***Second, if you are not on any, ANY pills or medications, then it is probably your skin. If this is the case I would suggest an Essential oil formula I made up for itching.

Here is that formula. If you can get a 50ml glass bottle with a lid, (I use a syrup bottle from my favorite breakfast restaurant, perfect size, and of course you have to clean it really good) this is where we will start:

Add 10 drops of Peppermint,
5 drops of Eucalyptus
5 Tea Tree Essential Oils to the bottle and then fill almost all the way to the top with your carrier oil. *Leave about 3/4 of an inch from the top so you can shake this formula well. Then apply to every place on your body that is itching. This formula using jojoba oil will rub in very well.

*Please take your time to make sure the oil is rubbed in very well and to every place you itch. The formula will soak into the body from the outside skin and go into inside to the places you can't reach.
*Be careful not to put it on your female private area.

You will feel your skin get really cool as peppermint is a very cooling oil.

I hope this helps you and the terrible itching you are going through.

***Carrier oil is the oil you choose to use with the EO to mix and to use on your body. This can be Almond Oil, Jojoba oil, or even olive oil. I use Jojoba oil because it works into the body so well.
***You do not ever want to use baby oil as you carrier oil because it stays on top of the skin and does not soak in.
***DO NOT DRINK
***KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN

I hope this works for you and it is sent to you with love, Beccie

Help with itching
by: Anonymous

I had a friend who had a similar problem and I suggested he add about a half cup of apple cider vinegar to his bath water and sit in while pouring it all over his body, incl. his head. He got relief immediately.

Also, taking a tablespoon with a tablespoon of honey in 8 oz of water 2-3 times per day will help increase the body's PH.

If you like the, asparagus is one of the most excellent foods to immediately decrease the body's acidic level, as well as melons. However, it is suggested that melons be eaten either 20 mins. before or after your meal.

I hope one of these helps.

Itching Tips
by: Grandma

Hello Deb,

Don't it just drive you crazy when you know something is driving you up a wall, like your itch, and the Dr. says it just nerves? Then they give you medication that makes you so doppy that you wonder if you can function through the day.

I wrote about some really good remedies for skin rash itch. I realize you're not seeing a rash but the remedies I wrote about should help relieve your itch. Just go to the button on the left that reads "Herbal Remedies" and scroll to the middle of the page for the link for "Skin Rash Remedies". Sometimes finding relief for things like an itch is a matter of trying different things until you find what helps you.

A warm oatmeal soak just might relieve that itch, I'd try that at night along with a nice warm cup of chamomile tea with honey. Chamomile or lemon balm tea also makes a really good compress and may realive that itch. Like I said, trying differnt things until you find some relief is really important right now.

You may be dealing with a vitamin defeciency right now, vitamins like E, B12, D and zink might bring your immune system and skin back to its natural pH balance.

You also need to think about what bath soap you're using. Never use a bath soap with deoderant protection or anti-bacterial crap in it. Find a mild soap with no dyes, perfumes or chemicals. That would be my first guess in what is causing your skin problem. I have had that problem and when I found it was the soap I was using it made all the difference in the world when I stopped using it and switched to the right soap.
