TAPE WORM REMOVAL

by Grace Larson

My mother had a tapeworm. A pharmacy worker told her to fry up some liverwurst and hold it in front of her mouth after starving for a day. The worm came up through her mouth and my father had to help her pull it out. No one believes me about this incident, but I know my Mom would not lie to me about this story. I had read somewhere on the internet about this happening and made a copy of it but have since misplaced it. Can you find it for me or let me know if this is true.

Tapeworms

Hi Grandma, I wish I knew what kind of meds you took for the tape worms. Maybe I should ask my local pharmacist. Concerning the milk; I had read that a person can sitting in a bath tub with enough milk to cover their butt will draw the worm out in the tub. That could be a few gallons of milk. Any recommendations of something from over-the-counter? Thanks all!

Parasites

Hi Grace,

I really don't know about the article you found on the internet about tapeworm removal but I do believe what your mother told you was true.

When I was about 7 years old, back in the 50s, I was really sick for a long period of time and nobody could figure out what was wrong with me. Back then doctors actually made house calls and I remember the doctor came and gave my mother medicine to put in a glass of warm milk for me to drink. I was in bed and spilled the milk on my pillow before falling asleep. I fell into a very deep sleep and had a dream that something was crawling out of the corner of my mouth. When I woke up I was suddenly feeling so much better and nobody could figure out why until I told my dad about my dream. He searched through my bed, sheets and finally noticed this large worm laying dead on the floor. He called the doctor right away, the doctor agreed it was a large tapeworm and the spilled milk on my pillow is what drew it out. Wow, I haven't thought about that in a long time, until I read your submission.
