Sinus Problems

by Barbee
(Alberta Canada)

I have had sinus infections and sinus headaches for years.

I had tried the salt and water irrigation. I found that it burnt my nose. I did some experimenting and came up with the following. It has done wonders for my sinus's.

One teaspoon of baking soda (which is close to our body make up) and one teaspoon of either sea salt OR coarse pickling salt, with one cup of distilled water. Tap water is too hard on the membranes of the nose. Irrigate the nose twice a day.

After doing this for only a few days I have never had another sinus infection or sinus headache.

Home Remedy for Sinus Infections
by: Grandma

Hi Barbee,

I can't thank you enough for sharing your home remedy for sinus infections. I have never heard of using baking soda. And your thoughts on using tap water is so true. There are an awful lot of chemicals in our tap water and I have no doubt it could irritate the sinus lining.

I'm sure many of my visitors will appreciate your recipe for sinus problems. It's wonderful to be able to share our home remedy's with the world.

Thank you again and I hope you visit often,

Grandma
