Rose Hip Aging

The rose bush my daughter planted has wonderfully large rose hips on it..but they are green. Must I leave them on the bush until they turn red?

Thanks for your reply !
God Bless,

Ripe Rose Hips
by: Grandma

Hello Carol, thank you so much for the blessing, I can always use it.

Yes, you do need to let the rose hips ripen. It makes a huge difference in the flavor and medicinal benefits.

You're so lucky your daughter has such a big supply. I was just looking at my rose hips the other day, and like yours, mine are still green. I can't wait for them to ripen.
