Olive Oil and Dry Scalp
by: Grandma

Hello Desiree,

At the time I was writing about all the wonderful benefits of Olive Oil Shampoo I didn't realize how hard it is to find. I had high hopes of getting an unlimited supply to offer for sale on my website but the people that make it are farmers and only make the Olive Oil Shampoo and Olive Oil & Goat Milk Soap in their spare time. It's become so popular that they are having a tough time keeping up with their orders. I'm still hoping to get a supply to sell but until then you might want to try giving your son an Olive Oil scalp massage. Just heat the olive oil in your microwave for a few seconds and massage it into his scalp. Cover with a towel for about 30 minutes then shampoo and rinse. This should really help with the itch.

You could also try using Apple Cider Vinegar rinse to help restore the PH balance to your son's scalp. Just mix 1/2 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar and 1/2 cup of warm water and rinse over your sons hair after shampooing. I think he'll be pleasantly surprised at how shiny and manageable his hair will be and it will greatly relieve the itch. You could use both recipes together for extra relief. Don't worry about the vinegar smell, it will evaporate quickly when hair dries.

Be care what kind of shampoo you use. Buy your shampoo in the health food store you mentioned. You don't want to use detergent. That's probably what is causing the problems.
