I'm so sorry it took so long to get back to you, I've been taking a short but much needed vacation.
I'd be suspecious of either irratation from the contacts or an allergy to the contact cleaner you're using. I've heard there are many contact cleaning solutions that are irritating the eyes so much that people have to stop wearing their contacts all together.
The eyes are nothing to experiment with, I'd suggest you see your eye doctor and until then I'd not wear the contacts all together. I'll bet you look just as nice and feel a lot more comfortable wearing your glasses.
