Killing Mildew

Our flourishing squashes

Our flourishing squashes

I have a large vegetable garden and this year our squashes were riddled with powdery mildew.

I diluted 250ml of vinegar in 5 liters of water and sprayed the ground around, leaves and stems with this dilution every day for 1 week.

Thereafter we didn't battle with mildew on those plants again.

Mildew & Vinegar
by: Grandma

Wow Wendy what a wonderful tip for the garden. I have had the same problem with my flower garden and I never thought of spraying vinegar on the mildew. I was forever digging the mildew out only to watch it come back again.

Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful green tip for all of us to use next time we are dealing with mildew in the garden. I'll bet the vinegar would even help with some of the insect problems too!

Thank you for visiting Grandma's Wisdom,

Grandma
