Is rice milk OK to give ??

My 3 y/o son has had a bout of "the runs" for a few days, his Dr. told me to do the BRAT diet, which I have been...he's eating fine. WE give him rice milk normally,not cow or soy milk. Since he is still having diarrhea, is rice milk OK to give him or should I stay away from it for now?

Thank you Stephanie, you seem pretty darn nice too.:) I hope you had a wonderful Easter with your family and your son was able to enjoy his Easter basket. He's is at a magical age.

I can't think of any reason to take your son off the rice milk. Sometimes we all get a dose of diarrhea just because our body needs to flush something out of our system. It may be an infection, medication, or even something we are having an allergic reaction to. As long as your son is eating and getting plenty of fluids into his system I wouldn't worry too much. You might want to try some 7UP & bananas. I have always given this to my kids when they had diarrhea or a tummy ache. If he is still dealing with the diarrhea I'd also try a bowl of brown rice with a little honey and rice milk.
