Home Remedy to Get Rid of Seed Wart

by judy
(manchester ky)

My 9 year old has a seed wart on his nose. I have taken him to the doctor a lot and they freeze it or burn it and it gets rid of it but it always comes back. Is there anything I can put on it to get rid of it at home?

Warts and Strange Remedies
by: Grandma

Hello Judy,

I'm sure you already know that warts are actually caused by a virus. The nose is a really sensitive area to deal with a wart and having them frozen or burnt off, OUCH!

There are so many strange home remedies to get rid of warts, I'm sure you've heard most of them. Like cutting a potato and rubbing it on a wart then burying it in the back yard. Or rubbing a new penny on a wart can make it vanish. For some people these remedies work and for some they see no results at all. Nobody knows why they work or why they don't. I've also been told that just putting a piece of tape on the wart for a period of time can sufficate the wart and cause it to fall off.

Since we're talking about the nose I would try dabbing apple cider vinegar on it several times a day. This could actually kill the virus and cause the wart to fall off. I really think you need to kill this down to the root. I've also been told that taking a tablespoon of Black Strap Molasses each day can help clear up warts. You can also apply it directly to the wart, but I wouldn't try this on the nose, unless you little one don't mind walking around with a bandage on his/her nose.
