Home Remedy for Tummy Ache and Fever On and On and On...

by Tummy Tammy
(California)

I have off and on diarrhea and stomach cramps, and a recurring low fever (about 100 degrees to 99 degrees). I saw my doctor because I also had a rash on my ankle. He gave me a 10-day antibiotic prescription and did blood tests. The rash cleared up, I'm done with the antibiotic, but i still have the fever and stomach pain. I tried acidophilus but that made no difference. Help!

Try Essential Oils along with herbs
by: Beccie

Hello,
Beccie here. Stomach aches are very familiar to me and have been since I was an infant. Mom said I never could hold anything down. That problem has followed me to this day.
I can only tell you what works for me, and that is Peppermint Essential Oil. Just 2 drops of this wonderful oil in a hot cup of decaf tea and a little honey to flavor, and the stomch ache goes away.
Essential oils along with herbs are the only natural way to heal yourself.
If you would like more Essential Oil information, feel free to write me at faithdream@triad.rr.com
Sincerely, Beccie

Remedies for Stomach Ache
by: Grandma

Hello Tammy,

There are different herbal teas that will help calm down a stomach ache and cramps, one is chamomile. You can find some good recipes if you look at the left column for "Medicinal Teas" and scroll through the list.

Since you've been on antibiotics for so long you might want to get some yogut with live cultures in it to restore your good bacteria into your stomach. Antibiotics will kill bad bacteria but they also kill the good bacteria and you need to restore the good to protect your immune system.

You might also want to eat some brown rice for a couple of days to relieve the diarrhea naturally. I think once you get your immune system balanced the fever will subside. Sometimes a low-grade fever is a good thing, it's our body's way of burning off any infection that's still in our system.
