Home Remedy for Hyperprolactinemia

by Batya
(Queens Ny)

Hi Grandma

I am a 42 Years old mother of four, my youngest child is 8 years old now when she was 3 I found out that I am suffering from hyperprolactinemia. Hyperprolactinemia is a condition of the pituatary gland that releases hormones to my breast so I can breast feed, over five years I am treated for keeping the prolactin level down. I would like to know if there is any home remedies to get rid of this problem and get back to normal.

Thank You Grandma

Hyperprolactinemia and Home Remedies
by: Grandma

Hello Batya,

First I want to say I'm sorry it's taken me awhile to get back to you. I went on a small vacation to celebrate Grandpa's retirement.

Hyperprolactinemia is something new to me, I really never heard of it before, therefore I don't have a home remedy to suggest. I did a little research and found that there are some herbal remedies but even if you want to try the herbal remedies you shouldn't go off your medication without you're doctors advice.

There is an herb called Agnus castus that has proven to relieve hyperprolactinemia. I don't know much about this herb but you can read what I found on a website called Naturpathic health. I also found that foods like nuts, mustard greens, radish and flax seed are excellent sources for hormone balance.

If I ever hear of anything else that may help you I'll be sure to let you know. I have to admit I'm constantly getting an education from the questions and research I've been doing.
