Asthma & Cause
by: Grandma

Hello Shobha,

I believe the most important thing to do is figure out what is causing the Asthma attacks. There is always a cause. It could be something in the child's diet, like dairy products or it could be something in the environment such as toxins in the air at home or school or even clothing, sometimes even medications can cause an attack. The first thing I'd suggest you do is start keeping a journal on what your child eats, wears or is exposed to each day so you can see what was going on when an asthma attack starts.

When you notice some wheezing starting have the child sip on a cup of black coffee, I've been told that it can help relieve the wheezing to some degree. Add a little honey or sugar to help with the taste. Magnesium can also help relieve an asthma attack.
