High Fructose Corn Syrup and GOUT

by jeleanoro

I have found success in keeping Gout away by avoiding High Fructose Corn Syrup. It's nearly impossible to avoid 100%, it seems to be in everything! You really have to be vigilant in reading every label, as I found out the hard way when I became complacent. You can't assume that because one product does NOT have it, another brand won't either! Mayonnaise, bread, cereal bars are only a few of these discrepancies. It's been working for me for years, might work for you too!

Gout & High Fructose Corn Syrup
by: Grandma

Hello Jeleanoro,

Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom on your findings and experience with Gout and High Fructose Corn Syrup.

I had a bout of Gout many years ago in my big toe and it was extremely painful. I did a lot of research and found that cherry juice can help get rid of it. My son recently bought me a book about the dangers of high fructose corn syrup and I was amazed at what I've read. Yes, you're right, it's in everything these days. But, like you said, if we all learn to read the labels on products we can actually find many products without it.

Thanks again for sharing your wisdom,

Grandma
