Help for Swollen Legs and Ankles

by Angie Carpenter

I heard about this cure several years ago for swollen legs and ankles. I believe it was in a womens magazine and even though it doesn't sound too tasty it is very effective.

Eating cherries(fresh, canned or frozen or even 3-4 oz. cherry juice) along with a small amount of sardines. I have no idea why this combination works but it does. My mom tried it, and everyone I've told loves it. After about a few days to a week you should see results. Cherries are fantastic for arthritis and joint pains by itself.

Cherries and Sardines? Whew!
by: Grandma

Hi Angie,

Now there's a new home remedy! Who would think that cherries & sardines would reduce swelling? It's such a strange mixture to begin with. I do know that cherries are great for gout and as far as helping with arthritis is believable. But adding those sardines is really strange but if it works that's all that matters. It sure would be a lot safer than taking that medication or fluid pills to relieve water retention. Those are so hard on your kidneys and bladder.

Thank you so much Angie for sharing your strange little home remedy for swollen legs and ankles,

Grandma
