I have been ill a long time. Started out with rapid heart beat which after several years turned to be thyroid. Ended up having it removed. Suffice it to say nothing works like the real thing. I now have fibro and other illness. I am hoping to find help in restoring my heath with herbs and food. I just found your site am still looking through it.

Hi Peggy,
I am sorry to say that you have been diagnosed with Fibro. This disorder comes with so many other problems and one that you will find the most demanding is getting people to understand why you don't want to go anywhere or do anything any more. This is because Fibro may or may not come with Chronic Fatigue as well as a host of others. People can't see our cuts or bruises, because Fibro is not like that. We are like diabetics...you can't see our disability but our disorder comes with so many.
I took a certificate course of Essential Oils from a college in Minnesota and found some wonderful information. This was before I was diagnosed or had even seen a doctor about all that was ailing me. IBS, constipation was all that I was seeing a chiroprator for. I didn't trust doctors. It wasn't until many years later that I found out it was just another part of Fibro.

Hello Peggy,

Thank you for taking the time to say hello. I'm so sorry that you've been ill for such a long time. Sometimes it seems that once we go in search of a diagnosis and treatment it's like a mouse getting on a wheel, we just keep going around and around and never really find a destination. Now I'm sure you wish you would have done some research when you were dealing with rapid heart beat into alternative medicine.

I hope you can find some tips here that will help you deal with what illness you are dealing with now and I just want to say, Welcome to Grandma's Wisdom.
