Hair Loss

by Rosie
(Fort Worth, Texas, United States)

Is there any natural remedy to grow head hair back. I'm 52 and over the years I've experience hair loss. I've taken birth control and high blood pressure medicine for many years without knowing the side effect consisted of hair loss. I'm currently drug free except for over the counter vitamins. I would appreciate it any feedback.

Thank you,

Rosie

Hair Loss & Medication
by: Grandma

Hello Rosie,

I believe your hair loss problem is coming from the medications you've been on but of course there are many other health issues that can cause women to go through hair loss. I'm wondering if you've had tests to rule out these possiblities like adrenal deficiency, thyroid dysfunction or lead poisoning.

Here's a old-fashioned remedy for hair regrowth.

Mix together 10 tablespoons of rum, 5 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 egg yolk; massage the mixture into your scalp twice a week in the evening. Cover with a towel and wash it out the next morning.

Make sure that your diet provides the minerals, B-vitamins, fatty acids and other nutrients needed for healthy hair growth; iron and zinc are especially important.
