White vinegar will whiten your fingernails. I have been a nail tech for 22 years and every manicure or pedicure I do, I use white vinegar for the nails. It really whitens the tip or free edge of the nail.

Thanks for a cure to a common problem

My nails seem to discolor easily. Dark polish, even over one or two coats of basecoat tends to really yellow them. I will give this a try -- I sure hope I have as good luck with it as you have. Thanks again.

Surprising Vinegar Tip

Hi Vicki,

Now there is a white vinegar tip I never heard of. What a great tip! Many times my fingernails get soil stained when working in the garden and no matter how hard I try they seem to have that dirty look. I'll be sure to try your vinegar tip to get my nails looking white again.
