Clove Bud Oil for Termite Control

Hi,


I'm thinking about adding clove bud oil to my stain/oil mixture that will be applied to my exterior wood logs on my southwest home.

would it be compatible with a oil based stain or boiled linseed oil that would be rolled onto the wood logs. I'm thinking about adding 8 ounces per 8 pound gallon of mix...about 6%. This would be to help prevent dry wood termites from invading the wood.

What do you think? Please advise.

Hello John,

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your submission, I have been on an extended leave due to a death in my family.

To be honest John, I had to run this one by Grandpa, these kind of things are his department around the house. Even Grandpa wasn't sure if this would work or not, but you gave him a good idea to try around the outside of our home. It's a really good idea and we think it's well worth a try. Let us know if you try it and how it works out.
