Bronchitis Stuborn Congestion and Tickle Cough

Gramma help Can't get rid of this congestion and a cough that won't stop tickling my throat. It's thick like glue. Yet, I don't want to use honey because of my tooth ache. So now what herbs would you recommend me to try in tea. I tried a vaporizer and cough syrup with Guaisefesin and DM in it that is called Robatussin and it's not working either?

Chest Congestion & Herbal Tea
by: Grandma

Hello Deb,

I'm so sorry to hear about your awful chest congestion and a toothache to boot! There are many herbs that are known to relieve chest congestion, mullein tea is one of them. You can read all about it and get some recipes if you go to:
http://www.grandmas-wisdom.com/mullein-tea.html

Or look under the button "Medicinal Teas" and scroll down until you find Mullein Tea.

It's too bad you don't want to try using the honey and my hot toddy recipe. That's what I use for myself and my family. Honey is an excellent cough soother and it has many medicinal benefits. Plus the alcohol would help kill the bacteria in your throat and chest, along with helping you rest.
