Anemic is the Key to Poor Health
by: Grandma

Hello Seema,

Thank you so much for all your compliments, it always means so much to me when someone takes the time to say something nice to me.

I believe most of your health issues are because you are anemic. You may also be lacking in some hormones since most of us grandma's are.

I have a little trick when it comes to getting enough iron into myself and my family. I cook most of my meals in my cast iron skillets. You'd be surprised at how gook food tastes when using cast iron and you get your daily supply of iron without even noticing it. You should also be eating a lot of green vegetables along with other bright colored vegetables. I would also suggest you eat yams a couple of times a week. This will help replace your hormones.

I have no doubt your depression and weight problem is coming from the anemia. I'd suggest you find something, anything that you can do everyday that is fun for you. You need something to motivate you to start moving, the more you move the better you'll feel. Even if it's as simple as bouncing a ball, don't worry about feeling silly or childish, I do things everyday that crack people up. At our age, who cares?

I'd also suggest you get together at least once a week with women, get in tough with old friends and have a meal together, laugh and build memories. These are all simple things to do and all doable. I think you'll feel a lot better in a short period of time.
